Good morning at least it is morning for me. Meek and meekness can be understood in some cases wrongfully. The word as Jesus uses it here mean:a person with a mild spirit. Gentleness is another way describe it. In the Bible Paul affirms to us that Christ was a meek man, 2Co 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
Also we are taught that meekness does not come as some acheivement that we can make in life, but rather a work of the Holy Spirit of God. Galations:5-20-23. We should always pray that the Holy Spirit would work these graces in our hearts. Another thing we are to consider in this principle of Kingdom of Christ is the blessing of it, they shall inherit the earth. I know what I was taught about but I want go into it. The meek already inherit the earth. You can do more and I should say much more with a kind and gentle spirit than you can with a ruff and rude spirit. You will win over many people and will be loved much more with this meekness than being harsh. Nu 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) I know the text is speaking of futhure tense, and that I believe, but meekeness is always something that occurs in the future wether it is a deed, or a conversation, it something that happens once the meek spirit of a person is displayed. Sometimes the person that is meek does not see what happens but the Lord sees. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:57-58. As you begin the work week always demonstrate a kind and meek spirit and the LORD will bless you for it.
