Mission Reports for Tenneesee Prison Ministry
On Saturday, November 8, Bro. Frank Maccarino, Bro. Charles Foster, and I
went to the prison at Whiteville, Tn. for a chapel service. We had 24 in
attendance, I asked the song leader to lead in the singing of "Amazing
Grace", it was the best rendition of the song I believe I ever heard. Most
of the men sang with heartfelt emotion. I brought the Bible message from Genesis 6:5-8, with the subject being "The Grace of God", explaining why men need this grace, and that this grace of God brings faith in Christ; faith being the "gift of God." God's grace provides redemption for men. It is effectual. It lasts into "the ages to come". It is life giving, in that it is bestowed on believers, "teaching us that we are to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, and live soberly, righteously, and Godly in this present world."
