Eph 1-3 ¶ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: When we think of this verse we must think of how great it is to be a chosen by the Father , redeemed the Son , born again one by the Holy Spirit. Notice that Paul says hath blessed, not going to be blessed but we are blessed Oh praise his dear name. James 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Jesus Christ the great beatitude speaker and writer. This one is very personal as the rest were. We must preserve and shine in the earth in order that we might give him praise and glory. Never let it be said of us that is a christian, if that is the way christians act I don't want to be one. Never think that people are not watching us, for they are. They are affected by us each day they see us.

The blessing bestowed upon those who Jesus says are reviled which means reproached is indeed another blessing of the Kingdom. Those stand for the LORD can expected to be reviled. There is no question that it will happen and has happened in the past to the Lord's people. The great thing about these two verses that teach us a lesson is the following. [1.] Rejoice, and that is not easy to do. It is so easy to rejoice when we are in a situation we like and want to stay in it. I read in the Memphis news paper the following quote "If you want to be happy, then just decide to be happy".

Matt 5;10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. We in this country USA have not in our lifetime experienced persecution, that is speaking gernerally. I know that the Lord's people have suffered for what they believe in all ages in all parts of the world. Baptist during the early days of this country were persecuted very hard by religious people fleeing England for religious freedom but denied it to ur baptist forefathers. Christians are suffeing today in third world countries and being killed for their faith in Christ.

Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers; for shall be called the children of God. What a promise coming for the Lord Jesus Christ. All that he says is so filled with great advice, great promises, great wisdom. When he talks about a peacemaker what does he really mean? I would say that it would have to do with the condition of a persons heart. The heart is desperatley wicked and who can know says the bible. So if a heart is made right in the sight of God then it is his or her aim to please Jesus Christ.

Purity is something that is obtain through the work of the Holy Spirit. It is not something that you quit, you earn, you deserve. It is a clear fact stated by Jesus -- the pure in heart.

In this devotion it is clear to me that the Lord is interested in purity. This is something that we all must strive for. Purity must be worked in us by his grace and mercy. It is also something that we are responsible to work at ourselves. One of the passage that needs to be read in connection with this passage is Philippians 4:12 Here Paul instructs the believers to think on these things. If we do this it is assured that we will have purity in thought and in deed. Notice that he says, whatsoever things are true,honest, just, pure, lovely, of a good report.

"Brief Instruction: when you come across a verse move the cursor over it and you may read the verse"

It usely goes without saying that whatever we are hungry for and whatever we thirst for that is exactley what we get. Of this is in the physcial world. Our verse is speaking of spiritual things. Two things Jesus addesses in this verse (1.) Hunger: do you know what it is to be hungry for the things of God, I sure hope so. It is when we are hungry for the Lord and his word that we will seek after him. Psalm:63:1-5 these verses lay out the clear argument for such as Jesus has set forth in this beatitude. My question for you this morning, are you hungry for the LORD?

Good morning at least it is morning for me. Meek and meekness can be understood in some cases wrongfully. The word as Jesus uses it here mean:a person with a mild spirit. Gentleness is another way describe it. In the Bible Paul affirms to us that Christ was a meek man, 2Co 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
