The Book of Isaiah
Subject: “ God Will Make A Way”
Text: Isaiah 43:14-21
Intro: I would like to introduce this subject tonight by speaking on the verses that proceed my text verse... I do believe that GOD is encouraging his people in the midst of captivity.
He reminds them who it is that redeems them: vs 14
He reminds them of his character: Holy vs 14
He reminds them that it is he that brought down their enemies: vs 14
He reminds them that it is he that created them: vs 15
He reminds them that it is he that makes the way: vs 16-17
He calls upon them to forget the pass: vs 18
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
He promises that he will do a new work: vs 19-21
That brings me to what I want to encourage us tonight with, that when it seems like there is no way, when hope seems to be but just a word. When feel like all hope is gone, when no one seems to understand what you are going through, GOD PROMISES HE WILL MAKE A WAY...
I... “ THE WAY OF THE LORD IS STRENGTH”...
Proverbs 10:29 The way of the LORD [is] strength to the upright: but destruction [shall be] to the workers of iniquity.
No matter who we are, what status in life we play, no how strong we think we may be, we need the strength of the Lord to walk in the way that GOD opens up for his people..

Paul said: Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Moses said to the children of Israel when Instituting the passover supper these words:
Exodus 13:14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What [is] this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
II... “THE WAY OF THE LORD SOMETIMES AND IN MOST CASES GOES AGAINST HUMAN REASONING..
1. It is because we are ignorant of it sometimes:
Jeremiah 5:4‑5 Therefore I said, Surely these [are] poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD, [nor] the judgment of their God. 5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the LORD, [and] the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the yoke, [and] burst the bonds.
2. It is because of rebellion sometimes:
Ezekiel 18:24‑25 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked [man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. 25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
III... “THE WAY OF THE LORD IS ALWAYS BEST FOR US BECAUSE OF A NUMBER OF REASONS:
1. His ways are not our ways:
Page # 2
Isaiah 55:8‑9 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
2. Because it is good for us:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
3. Because it tries us:
James 1:12 Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
4. Because it glorifies the Lord:
1 Peter 4:16 Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
The hymn God Leads Us Along:
In shady green pastures, so rich and so sweet, God leads his dear children along: Where the water’s cool bath’s the weary ones feet, God leads his dear children along.....
Sometimes on th mount where the sun shines bright, Sometimes in the valley in the darkest of night: Though sorrows befall us, and Satan oppose us God leads his dear children along: Through grace we ca n conquer defeat all foes:
Chorus: some through the waters, some through the flood, some thro’ the fire but all through the blood, some great sorrow but God gives a song in the night season and all the day long...
