Subject- "Christ The Embodiment of Truth"

I am going to do something that I don't believe that I have done before that is read a number of text to show the varied ways in which "TRUTH" is mentioned in the BIBLE. So bear with me...Deuteronomy 32:4 [He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he. (KJV)

Psalm 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed [each other].

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Charles J Rolls said this about truth Truth is immaculate in stainless purity....truth cannot be measured because of its dateless entity, We know and believe truth to be invincible, we also believe that truth is immutable because God is immutable, we also believe truth to be incorruptible and will not in any sense fade in glory...

When we say that Christ is the embodiment of truth, we mean that he is truth incarnated, meaning everything that truth is, is personified in Christ Jesus our Lord.....This is why Christ could lay the wonderful claims that he did.... In essence what Christ was saying in his message to his disciples I am the only truth, the only way, the only life...

I..... " THE LORD JESUS IS TRUTH VARIOUS" .... This means that the truth he spoke was in many forms, he declared a truth by using the term Verily, Verily....Or he would use the term "I SAY UNTO YOU"...he used this term in the gospel let me site a few of them...

1st. Note what he said about his word...Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:18 FOR VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

2nd. Note what he said about his Kingdom...Matthew 8:10-12 When Jesus heard [it], he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 11 AND I SAY UNTO YOU, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

3rd. Note what he said about children and conversion...Matthew 18:3 And said, VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, EXCEPT YE BE CONVERTED, AND BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Believe me this morning there are many more saying's of Christ in varied forms. This is why he took on the name of...Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

II.... "THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS TRUTH VERIFIED" ... He himself is the verification of al that he taught and said, this is true because of his flawless life and faultless labors. Listen to what Paul said ...Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers: The word confirm means to make sure, and this is what Christ did. Some of the truths in which he confirms are clearly seen in the gospels and in his life and character...Again Paul said...2 Corinthians 1:20 For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

1st. Christ verified the fact that he was the covenant one...

Luke 24:44-46 And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: I must move on to finish this message....

III.... "THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS TRUTH VALOROUS... Which meant he was a valiant man...all this was demonstrated in the various ways in which he performed his work...his valor was clearly seen in the cleansing of the Temple...which is where his name was.

John 2:15-16 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. It was also seen when he climbed the steep road leading up to Jerusalem to face the mob of a crowd that he knew was leading to his death by crucifixion...

Mark 10:32-33 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus went before them: and they were amazed; and as they followed, they were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen unto him, 33 [Saying], Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles:

This is what Christ had been preaching, and teaching his people now the hour was upon him now the valor of truth was demonstrated by his unwavering determination to go to Jerusalem..that my friends is real valor...

IV...THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS TRUTH VICTORIOUS"...

The Lord Jesus when marching through the final 3 years of his life meet ever obstacle with great resistence, he meet the great enemy of truth when his physical life was at its low..and showed that truth...man shall not live by bread alone, is far superior to any offer of Satan the world the flesh and all that goes with it... He decline all overtures made to him and emphatically states in John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. He constantly affirmed his divine authority, but with equal consistence declined any offer of public office...When he on the cross surrounded with evil and sin being judged upon him, when radicals made cruel marks against him, when he felt abandonment from his father...when life was leaving him, one cried out with a loud voice.... Lord remember me when thou comest into thy Kingdom...and Jesus promised today thou shalt be with me in paradise...

Christ verified the truth of the resurrection...Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
